Sometimes a simple little movie comes along and leaves a great impact on its audience. Although there are many fine examples of the genre “musical”, Flashdance is one of the most successful films of the early eighties, despite poor reviews by professional film critics, proving indeed that this genre can succeed as a big box office hit.

My first novel A Certain Kind of Freedom was a Finalist in the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia Atlantic Writing Awards for unpublished manuscripts. I've recently completed the first three books of my Drifters series, and I'm working on the fourth. I can't let these characters go, I love them! To me, they are friends who simply live in another town.

I live with my partner Stephen and a cuddly striped cat named Oliver (Lucy Maud Montgomery once said the only good cat is a striped cat) in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada. I make frequent trips to Vancouver to visit my Singer - Songwriter / Barista son Christopher (he makes the best macchiato on the planet).
