Read MoreI feel like I can take a breath now that the busy fall has come to a peaceful end. With January's pristine white snow (another blizzard-y heapful arrived on our doorstep yesterday - when the winds got too strong around 4 pm and I feared a power outage I quit editing and succumbed to the tradition of baking snowstorm-day chocolate chip cookies) alight with sunshine sparkles these days, my mind's been drifting to my next project.
Read MoreAs one of the short story writers featured in the Writer’s Drawer Anthology A Certain Kind Of Freedom (the only Canadian!), I thought it might be fun to tell you a little about where I live.

Let me elaborate.
Read MoreWell hellooooo... This is my first blog post on my new website! I admit it's rather daunting to embark on this public journey but it's also lots of fun. Us writers like to ramble so…here I go!

My first novel A Certain Kind of Freedom was a Finalist in the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia Atlantic Writing Awards for unpublished manuscripts. I've recently completed the first three books of my Drifters series, and I'm working on the fourth. I can't let these characters go, I love them! To me, they are friends who simply live in another town.
An independent filmmaker as well as writer, I'm in the midst of editing my first Feature Documentary, The Healing Place. A Vancouver Film School grad, I'm the Owner / Operator of Bluemountain Entertainment and Bended Branch Pictures.
I live with my partner Stephen and a cuddly striped cat named Oliver (Lucy Maud Montgomery once said the only good cat is a striped cat) in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada. I make frequent trips to Vancouver to visit my Singer - Songwriter / Barista son Christopher (he makes the best macchiato on the planet).
